The above is a great pic of how not to install a water pump. BTW it is a nice pic on the timing adapter at the missing damper. You see the 2 mag probe locations. We use the tall skinny location and it must be cleaned out using a 5/16 drill bit in your hands. Not on the end of a drill motor. Wash it out with brakeclean after and clean off the damper wheel. Must not forget to clean the dirt out of the magnetic interupter cut in the damper wheel. Thats where the mag probe gets its pickup from.
