I just replaced my brake rotors so getting everything off down to the spindle isn't new to me, it was a pain but when I got the right socket I now feel like I could do it in my sleep.

I deciphered the VIN, it is for sure a 1992 F-350

That's very unusual indeed. If parts haven't been swapped (like frame/cab), then I'd say it was a custom order. They still did that back then. I belive all were actually ordered, unless you bought one off the lot, but the TTB front on a 1 ton would have been a non-standard option.

The beam pivot mounts are welded or riveted to the engine crossmember from the factory, and the crossmember is riveted and welded to the frame rails via the factory.

Depends on how many miles you think you have left on her I suppose. Mine had 220K on her when I replaced the tie rods and ball joints. I paid like$40- $60 for a whole set off ebay and have worked perfectly for 30K now and I basicly live off road, lol and pull 7k+ loads all the time. If I remember right the high quality brands would have cost me like $300+ for a complete sete of T-rods and ball joints.

I'm going with a conversion of some sort, the last time a TTB was offered factory was 85.....I bet it was a cab swap or the like. Although I did drive a factory 1995 with a 100% factory c6 the other day. So I guess weirder things have happened than maybe a guy with big $$$$ wanting a TTB on a 350....

Maybe, I actually just sold it. Somebody switched the Gauge cluster and I got sold one with 333,000 miles in 2001, but sold to me with 218,000 miles, oh well better check the carfax. Just bought a powerstroke with the same axle though

I swapped a D60 into mine; the thread link is in my signature - all the part numbers should be right if you find a BJ D60.

You swappaed a Dana 60 into an f350 or f250? What we are talking about is that the op apparently has a TTB in a factory 92 f350. To my knowledge Ford never did that
