Unscrew the oil filter, empty and fill with Lucas.

Had an engine that had a wrist pin tap. After a Lucas treatment it was good for about 800 miles.

I put 10k on that engine before I sold the truck, drove 110 miles a day and every tap sounded like it was about to grenade.

Well. I found the source.
Got up early.
Did a leak down.
Pop tested all the sticks.
Everything was fine
New o rings
New return hoses.
Changed the oil
Fired her up and she quieted down.
Threw it a few revs, and she started to stutter a bit.
Ran it for a bit
Smoke cleared up.shut it down to do a few more things. And a rush of coolant came from under the truck.

So, to everyone that mentioned MMO,
Do you think it’ll help?? Lol

Welp, glad I have another block in the shop. Kinda hinders my plans for my next IDI, but that’s the way the connecting rod fails lol

You are the only one I know that keeps grenading these blocks. Pretty crazy carnage

And your sure it wasn't like this before you changed the oil?

Probably from putting that tester on and giving it too much pressure.

at 13 psi? not likely. it would rip apart the welds on the radiator first.
