throttle cable linkage

for those of you have done this i am putting a p pump 12 valve cummins in my f250 and got most everything figured out except how to get my throttle cable to hook up to the motor so i was wandering how you all did this? and would grounding one side of the grid heater and putting the other side to a toggle switch for power make them work?

I don't remember if the 1st gen and 2nd gen look the same but on mine all I did was build Me a new one (plastic was starting to break) with stainless steel pipe and works like a dream, cruise control and all.

A little late since I don't log on very often but I have a picture I can email you of the throttle set up I used on my 92 f350 with 96 Cummins. It uses the 92 Ford cable and IDI cable holder. The end just snaps onto the cable.
