Thinking of getting busy

Hello, i recently joined up,
On my second idi. This one is a non turbo 93. I am seriously considering installing a pair of twin turbos. I can get a pair of 33 mm for 300 bucks, all china junk but i have the time and the tools. Anybody try this? I figure the response could be instantaneous.
I can go larger, but would like the best drivability with an 8000# load

If it was me I wouldn’t put any China junk on my truck.. save your money and buy a good set up like what classic diesel design has. Just my 2 cents.. if your pulling a lot I would for sure spend money on good parts! You lose a cheap turbo and it could send metal into your motor then it’s trashed.

Sounds like a project for sure! I like to DD my truck so I like to keep it simple and reliable.
