Ok. You are right. Just confused me seeing 2 completely separate systems used together. I would still eliminate the cdr to make sure it isnt stuck

A N/A engine normally vents the crank case pressure from the rear of the valley pan and in to the back of the intake. The CDR mounts to the back of the intake. Since the turbo kit uses that spot for turbo oil drain they just move the pressure source to the oil fill cover and reroute it. It is the same system , just routed differently. The only issue he may have is with it being upside down , oil could pool in the CDR. It is normally allowed to drain out the bottom, back in to the engine.
