Well, as many of you may recall, the Mini Moose (99 Ranger) was totalled back in the first week of January. Unfortunately, I still don't have any money from the insurance company yet, because I was unable to supply them with a title (figures, I can find EVERY title for every vehicle I have now or ever had EXCEPT that one!
). Notwithstanding, I had made arrangements to buy from a private individual a 95' Bronco suitable for my next conversion project. Really suitable in fact....
I met with the guy 2 times, the first to check it out myself. At that time, I liked it alot and gave him a $200 deposit. He agreed to take it, but said he would keep it on the market and give me first choice should another buyer arrive. The second time to show it to the family and get buy-in from the wife. They all really liked it too. We agreed on the price and how we were going to proceed. The truck is from Maryland, so it have never been through the PA state inspection process, and so one of my conditions was that he would allow me to get it inspected before we closed the deal. He was slightly aprehensive but agreed to it. I scheduled the inspection, and it was supposed to have been yesterday. Last Friday, he called me and told me that somebody was coming out Saturday morning with cash in hand, and he wanted to know if I would do the same. My hands were too tied at that point to do anything, and I wasn't comfortable with the whole situation. I probably should have, but something kept telling me not to. I don't know why. At $5500 it was a good deal. Oh well.

will fly. I got passed over for the sales job I have been chasing since November. This is what I hear when people say that to me "Joe, you were not meant to have a fully paid company car, $80,000 a year income, expense account..." but I digress)
