Thank you all for this site. I needed to fix my E4OD that was slipping and not "locking-up". It was pretty much useless. I looked on here and found lots of posts. I am far from a gifted mechanic but I was still able to fix the problem by replacing and adjusting the FIPL. It works great and you saved me lots of time and money. I spent about $40 including the new FIPL and star wrenches.

Glad this forum could help. Many of the members here are posting because Ford dealers wont give us any help. Just no money in older rigs. Please tell us what voltage you set the new tps too. the factory setting is .96 volts for a soft shift all the way up to 1.2 volts for a strong firm shift. I use 1.2 volts.
