Greetings,

I'm mostly new here...I check in every so often as I get ready to convert my bus to run on SVO.

My question: I see it mentioned on many forums that diesel fuel should not be heated as it will damage the IP. Two reasons usually given: 1) loses lubricity 2) the IP is cooled by the diesel flowing through it.

I have looked where I can and found very little information to back this up. There seem to be many posts making this claim and very little disagreement.

I am looking for tips on where to look for definitive information about why heating diesel may be a bad idea...like, graphs showing lubricity related to temp, or info directly from IP manufacturers about acceptable temperature ranges of fuel, etc.

Any tips or hard facts will be appreciated.

thanks!
