The top of the ZF5 made contact with my bullnose floor pan.
With a body lift it might clear but the bullnose boot would have to be made to work with the larger diameter ZF shifter. Otherwise, I have no idea how his bullnose pan fit over the ZF. I had lots of pics of this on webshots, but that has been dead forever.
If I have time tomorrow I’ll see if I can find those pics and post them.
Shifter for the T-case does not go through the pan on ZF trucks but the drivers side of the trans tunnel. So that’s why you’d need to cut the ZF pan for the T-case shifter on a bullnose. There is no t-case shifter opening on the ZF pan.
The mount boss isn’t the difference between the two transmissions, the shifter is. Different shape/bend. The bullnose t-case shifter works just fine on the ZF, but you have to make an opening for it in the ZF pan.
