Up until recently I had an old AM-FM unit mounted high on my truck with a long piece of leftover flux-core .030 welding wire as a makeshift antenna and I could pull in an AM oldies station pretty clear...
The thing that amazed me all last year was that there were NO commercials and all they played was all of the good stuff from late 50's, all through the 60's, and solid gold through the middle 70's....
Then....disaster struck and the radio got soaked in an unexpected rainstorm....I tried to fix it but it was toast...
Dumb me...
I have not been able to find that station again...no matter what I do...
I might have to find some old radio on craigslist...or something...yard sale, maybe...
