I have a squeak under the hood when you start the motor and am trying to figure out where it's coming from. The water pump was changed over summer along with bearing in idler belt pulley and has new a/c compressor also so any thoughts?

I'm thinking like the vacuum pump but if it is can you change bearing or is this a buy new item?

There is no bearing.

One I saw fail started out as a "squeak... Squeak.. Squeak.. " then slowly got more constant.

You can change the oil in the pump.
New pumps are around $80, IIRC.

You could try spraying it with wd40, just to see if its the culprit, just don't get any on the belt.

You can also pull the belt and spin all the pulleys by hand and check them for end play.

How many miles are on the belt. They wear out and start to make noise most of the times. Removing the belt is a good idea and simple to do. then try each pulley for the noise. If the belt is old with lots of miles on it just replace it but test all the tensioner and idler and pullays too.
