I think to the right buyer he might very well get what he wants for it. But, if he's needing cash, my guess is he's not going to be willing to do what it takes to sell at that price, i.e.- wait, advertise, and wait some more.

If he's selling to cover medical bills, I would wager a bet he would be more inclined to do what any sane person would do, and file bankruptcy to write off the debt, and keep the truck...

Yeah, I completely understand the financial hardship situation...been there, still there. At least when your truck is still safely in the POS category (like me!) you can convince yourself not to sell. He obviously put a bunch of money in, and is trying to get it back out; unfortunately these old trucks are not the surest "investment".
