I removed my rear tank to clean it and install new sending unit... everything is orange and rusty... should I use muriatic acid then baking soda for the rust?

When I was working on these for a living, I'm pretty sure that there wasn't emissions tests in the plains of Colorado either.
Well naturally. Lions are afraid to climb to the top of the ivory towers that politicians live in so they can't see a reason to hunt them.
If emissions/safety testing was required in Kansas, you would probably see way fewer old vehicles around
A reasonable safety inspection in this state wouldn’t bother me, some people drive things that shouldn’t be road legal… some drive vehicles that are borderline dangerous, or beyond…
Emissions testing, no need for that here. Our big cities are very spread out and really aren’t that big. Although there are some guys here with computer controlled diesels who blow way too much smoke. To each their own, but the college clowns who fog out every intersection they pull away from ought to get a reckless driving ticket IMO… if you wanna roll coal, fine, then do it where you aren’t causing hazardous driving conditions for others.

I did too actually although it wasn't 6 years, 3 or 4 for me. Technically my old one was a 90.
I've missed my old 90 ever since I sold it and bought a truck. A lady at Church had given it to me. It was her father's car. It wasn't in as good shape as this but it was close. This one has far more bells and whistles being a Brougham package model. Has power windows, locks, even has a power antenna and a remote trunk unlock button on the dash!
I've heard of some folks on the F body forums getting mid to high 20s regularly with this setup. I doubt I'd ever do it due to lack of power and the unreliability of AFM but I can't help but wonder what kind of numbers you could get keeping the 2.56 rear gears and putting a little 4.8L "ls" with the "displacement on demand" and a 6 or 8 speed transmission. Would be an interesting experiment for sure!

I should have mentioned that was at 75-80 mph. Man that thing ate up so much highway between RC and Mitchell SD (home of the Corn Palace). If I slowed to 65-70, it would get 23, but I was young and dumb and wouldn’t dare drive that slow. All my friends in college always preferred to take that car.
I also drove a white ‘94 Caprice with the L99 (baby LT1), which I think was a 4.3L V8. Bought it off my sister’s friend when her mom gave her a minivan, paid $350. Only owned it a year, hit 2 deer south of Presho SD at 75 mph. Talked the officer into letting me drive it home with a bowling ball sized hole in the windshield, and I failed to mention I had to hold the driver door shut. Sold it to my dads best friend the next morning for $300 (had $650 in it) as I was moving to ColoFornia to be with my now wife. He is still driving it. He has $850 in the car since 2012. It returned 23-24 mpg at 75-80mph.
That ‘94 slipped through the air, but it didn’t have the charisma that the older brother (‘87) carried. I’d take either version in wagon form!!

I had a '65 Chevelle SS in High School. Nice car and the only power anything it had was under the hood. I drove it to Univ of Aridzona in Tucson. Oh and no A/C!. I got into street racing and sold it for a 1970 GTO 4 speed, Dark Green and no A/C! Stupid kids - speed is more desirable than comfort...

It wasn't on purpose or intentional, but the Blue Truck got a new beauty mark on the windshield. A semi passed by me going the other way when I heard a loud SNAP. I saw whatever it was for maybe 1 1/2 seconds as it flew over the top of the cab. From what little I could see, it was dark colored and about the size of a golf ball. I don't know if it came off of the highway or off of the trailer itself. The only reason I suspect the trailer, is because it was about 1 1/2 miles from the county seat, there's a shingle manufacturing plant there, and the load wasn't very tall. It took me a bit to find the spot since it's right at the bottom of the windshield. It was a hard enough hit that I saw some glass powder on the dashboard. It was loud enough that I almost had to go back home to change my drawers!

Must be the season. My brother got his new windshield broke today somewhere in upstate NY and my wife and I took a rock to her Rav4 yesterday and chipped it.

I showed that picture to a friend who has his own body shop. He said "that's the third one of those I've seen today. It must be rock meets glass season".
