My truck, 85 F-250 had a Sterling 10.25 in it when I bought it. I just replaced it with a D60 out of a 76 Highboy. The problem I am having is to use my drive shaft from my Zf5 to the D60 I need a combo ujoint. Its a 1310 to 1350 joint.

I just got done with the swap yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone knew if the yoke off the Sterling would fit on the D60? I dont like running a 30 dollar ujoint. I have already broke one ujoint and it ripped the lil tab that holds the caps in place off. Please if anyone knows this, let me know!

Thanks
Chris

why the d60--they arent as strong as a 10.25----and harder to find--10.25's are every where---go to a good auto supply place--they may have a dual size u-joint--then again--there may not be one available---

I gotta ask the same question..........Why the Dana 60 rear? The 10.25 is a beefier/heavier rear axle. Anywho....try NAPA or a local driveline/tranny shop.

The reason I went with the D60 is because it has 4:88 gears and a Detroit locker. I am also putting a D44 up front with the same stuff. For the price I couldnt refuse to take them, lol!

The Dana 60 was used in MANY trucks, not just Ford. They are still used in E250 and E350 SRW vans, you may find a suitable yoke in one of those.

The likelihood of two axles made by different manufacturers using the same yoke would seem to be extremely slim.
