NOT A THING IS WRONG WITH THEM !!!
I have my >>>many<<< REVERSE-lights on a relayed circuit.
I can turn them ON with the switch-key in my pocket.
I can turn them OFF such that not even shifting to REVERSE makes them come ON.
Or, I can leave things alone and they operate normally, with the exception that only the minimal current required to trigger the relay is carried via the wimpy factory circuit.
Now, to the original thread starter guy:
YES; that is the oil filler neck.
A plain-jane 6.9 holds 10-QTs of CI-4 15W-40; use anything else at your own peril.
There are larger filter and cooler options that make room for more oil.
Welcome to the gang.![]()

I shoulda guessed I'd step in it! "Daisy-chained" probably wasn't the right term. In my case, a leaking fuel system was "fixed" by putting an electric pump on the cross-member underneath the lift pump, but the lift pump was not removed. So, they really blew off fixing the problem and just addressed the symptom, sort of kicking the can down the road. Same with the toggle switch, which I can assure you exhibited none of the thought (let alone relays) that you seem to have put into yours. What is ??

I know, I know, in a hole, stop digging,![]()

Despite popular wisdom to the contrary, one CAN very well dig themselves out of a hole.
It's all in where you place the dirt; think "steps" or "ramp".![]()
Come to think of it, I'd still be sleeping on a sofa if that weren't the case.
@BioFarmer93 - Nice work - this shoe tastes damn good, thank you!
Anyway, nicknd, welcome to the board. As you can see (I've only been an owner < 1 year), people are more than willing to help with anything, so we hope to see you around.
