im also kind of hating myself for doing this turbo thing now, as the project would be much closer to completion if i didnt have to mess with it..TBH...if i find a stock Up pipe kit...ill probably buy it if it pops up soon enough... i might be thinking crazy, but...might be saving myself alot of time and headache...this idea was great on paper lol but i have alooot of hours into what seems like nothing yet.
but..im also concerned if my turbo will even fit weith the stock up pipe flange location.
It's probably not a bad idea. If you hunt around and maybe even put up a WTB, you can probably find a kit less turbo or with turbo in need of rebuild. I bought a banks kit sans turbo because I liked the piping arangement better than the hypermax and it just happened to pop up. I'm hoping that will save me some time and headache putting that GT3788 on there. I know from Heath's experience I'm going to have to do some fab work to make it fit. I don't really know anything about the configs of the ATS or factory kits other than I assume they are similar to each other. You might be ahead to buy a complete kit and sell your turbo as rebuilt.
