RDT into exhaust

I have been thinking about this quite a bit, my question is, is there a way to plumb a RDT into the exhaust so it almost makes a suction on the crank case? or at least wont make any pressure on the crank case. I have seen this on some gassers with headers. I like the RDT but sometimes it can be a little obnoxious.

You can. (In theory) I've never seen anyone do it and stick with it.
Most go to a filtered setup. You can build your own, or buy a pro vent.

ive done this, and loved it. ran the truck for 6 months without oil in my exhaust.
i welded up a pipe in my downpipe to accept a checkvalve, so it cant blow back.
welded the pipe in at a 60* angle for that venturi effect.
i loved it.
but, the downpipe isnt the place to do it.
do the same after the downpipe, makes install easier..

my RDT runs down next to the radius arm bracket. I have dual exhaust that runs on the outside of the frame about 2 feet past the RDT. if I ran a longer RDT and put it in the exhaust so it would be with the exhaust flow, would that work? will I still need a checkvalve?

did you check to see if it made a suction effect?

nope, i saw a very very slight haze out of the exhaust at operating temperature.
no smoke coming out of oil fill while running.
was good enough for me.

But I bet there's a bit more exhaust velocity at 8000 RPM.
I'm not saying don't do it at all, I'd rather use a separator setup though.

what do you mean by a separator?

Basically hooks up like stock, but there's a filter that separates the oil. Can either drain it manually, or have it drain back to the pan.

Yep. That's just one of the pre-made kits.
You can build your own with parts from tractor supply. (Or other ag stores)
