I just installed an RDT on my truck. I parked it last night after work and came out this morning......oil was leaking from the RDT, like three table or four table spoons worth!!!!!!! *** Time for new heads?

Is called blow by. Pressurizes the crank case. It has to go somewhere. Instead of going down Your intake, it now goes into the RDT

I knew it would send some oil down the hose but I was suprised at how much.....Today for example I stopped to top off the tanks and by the time I finished there was a half dollar sized puddle on the ground

build a catch can. i drain mine every oil change and pull about a cup of oil out.

edit: i also put a upward curve on mine so the majority of the oil will fall back into the motor, before i had this i would leave large amounts of oil after a good high speed run in the catch can.

Sounds like you've got a fair amount of oil coming out. I wouldn't be able to accept a puddle everywhere I park. I had a similar issue when I put my RDT in, I re routed it to make it go up before coming back down. That way more oil runs back in the crankcase instead of out the tube. It doesn't drip a noticeable amount.

x2 On running the RDT up hill before running it down under the truck. Keeps most of the oil inside the engine, they always drip a little bit. most of the motorhome's that come into the shop leave a sample on the floor...
