ok so i have got a 94 f 450 duperduty with a 7.3 idi mated to an e4od and i think 4:11 rears, all i know is my motor is wound out at 70 mph. what gears can i put in the rear end to increase my speed without completely killing my pulling power

i'm not sure if you have 4.11 rears cuz thse came with even lower gears than that but if thats what you have i would not go any higher than that.

you can add an extra overdrive but it shouldn't be that bad with an E4OD cuz that has an overdrive already..... but find an aux trans to put behind it and you can double your gearing which will help with towing and cruising on the highway....

If you want a stump puller, you'll have to leave the rear axle alone. Which leaves you with double overdrive as your only real option.

If you have 4.10's, you really ought not to be wound out doing 70. I would leave them in there. Are you sure they arent 4.56's?
