Where can I find a non lighted lund visor?

Try your local Craigslist. I find them all the time. Not sure if you can buy a new one anymore

Do you guys have any wind noise from your visors? My wifes nephew has one on his 04 Dodge and it makes LOTS of noise. It is very annoying on the interstate.

You can still buy new LUND visors for our trucks through LMC, they're like $300 or something like that. I find the non lighted ones all the time. Could have bought 2 of them at the last local swap meet for less than $20 each. I wanted a lighted one though. The thing to watch out for is cracks in the fiberglass. Sometimes you can find one that has a crack in the gelcoat that is not actually a crack in the fiberglass. Telling the difference really takes experience with working with fiberglass parts, but normally when the fiberglass is cracked a piece of fiber "hair" will be visible.

Good question about the wind noise Travis. I'm really curious as to the answer to this. The trucks I've ridden in with them didn't have any noise from them, but I never rode in them on the interstate at 75mph either.

no wind noise at 104mph.

I never noticed any mpg difference when I had one on my gasser. I have a non lighted visor to put on my IDI, but I want to get it painted first. I would prefer a lighted version though.

Both fords that I had & have had visors-Ilove them.Ocasionally it would flap in cross winds.But worast of all they both had a leak in one of the centerr bolts -when I tried to loosen the bolts to seal them the bolts felt like they would rip the treaded peice out of the cab so i left them alone.

Unless someone used nut-rivets or somesuch, there should not be any "threaded piece" in the cab's sheet-metal.

Every LUND that I have removed/installed simply had hex-head sheet-metal screws that screwed directly into a hole that you drill.

If one should strip, simply step up to the next larger size.

With a generous dab of sealant around each screw-hole, I have NEVER had a leak.


If a LUND visor on a Ford truck is flapping, something is not right with the mounting.

It pretty much takes 2 people to to do it properly.
One to hold and the other to mark and drill.
I used and excessive amount of silicon sealant in the holes and around.

I can attest to having a foot of snow on the top of the truck and my son(50#) using the visor as a spring board onto the hood and it has faired well. No leaks!

I put a visor on my truck last year - no leaks with mine....No noise or MPG difference.

They have rivit nuts one just turned in the sheet metal I did however seal that one.

I just got a new Lighted Lund visor for my truck for free from a friend. Can't wait to see what its going to look like with it on.
