OK I finally got a compression tester and am going to do it tomorrow I hope. reminder 92 -7.3 Ford
Question 1: do I warm up the motor a little bit or do I do it cold.
Question 2: do I pull all the glow plugs or do I do one at a time.
Question 3: I am supposed to pull the wires off the injection pump right so fuel wont get me.
Am I missing anything?
Just want to say also how much I appreciate all this help it is truly great Thanks.

Warm is better for the readings and worse for your hands.
Pull all the glow plugs so it will turn over faster.
Pull the right front wire off the IP so it won't flow any fuel.

Remember to keep your batteries charged up or you will start to get lower readings on the last few cylinders from slow cranking

What they said, but make sure the intake around the GP holes are free of debris. That way ya don't chance ingesting some dirt into the engine.

I use an old shop vac rigged up with a smaller home on it to get in those cramped spaces.
