Propane Injection ?

As I thought, I understood it, that our IDIs tend to get richer in air/fuel mix the closer we get to WOT and that a good portion of EGT is caused by unburnt fuel in the exhaust. I would have thought adding propane that is supposed to help with more complete burns that EGT would go down. Am I misunderstanding something here?

As that my goal is to add an intercooled turbo to my IDI and from what I understand EGT can be an issue with our engines turbocharged. I am looking for ways to help me keep EGT down after I convert my rig. I am not looking for superboosts in power just want to not slow down so much on hills with a heavy load.

Propane causes more of the fuel to burn. Hence, more fire = more flame = higher temps. Black smoke is incomplete burn. Unburnt fuel in the exhaust is already cooling off during the exhaust stroke
