You're right. That's a little bit worn. .033" over standard. Couldn't you just put a little bit of Bon Ami (if I spelled it right) in the oil and send it?

I've seen that before. Maybe it was just an earlier production block?Hmmm... What do y'all make of this block serial number? Never seen one that a digit was starred out
I'd throw it in and run it. I'll bet that the compression numbers will come up. If it's been sitting for a while, the rings may need to be reseated. I wouldn't be scared of those compression numbers. In fact, I'd be wondering how #1 ended up with that much higher of a number rather than concentrating on the "low" numbers. That is if I though about it at all. I just don't put a lot of faith in compression numbers. Especially if the engine hasn't run in a couple of year or longer.Well, got a little feisty, slapped a set of injectors in er and some oil so I could crank er up for some compression numbers.
#1 460psi
#2-8 380psi
Weird how 1 is a lot higher,
Hey, it’s not as messy as mineAnyways I eagerly await your compliments of my work station![]()
They're not needed. They'll just wear out the rockers prematurely. Since I couldn't run the Typ4 cam I had, I now wish I had taken the Comp springs out of my heads and put stock ones back in.but for a N/A application with an auto, think they'll ever be necessary? Should I just leave it stock springs?
I'll just repeat what I said in the balancer post here/. I don't see the reason for different valves since aluminum melts way sooner than steel does. My opinion is that I'd just use N/A valves and be done with it. That may be the wrong thing to do, but it's what I'd do. I'd just stick to a bigger named company like Sealed Power or Melling. On another note, what valves do y'all suggest?
I mostly want to change the ones that have evidence of impact with pistons, not necessarily swap them for turbo valvesI'll just repeat what I said in the balancer post here/.
