Is this become the $6,000,000 truck? Will Lee Majors be driving it?

Bringing it back to life! Awesome!
Creeps up on you - a couple hundred bucks at a time.... Maybe I'm desensitized by California prices, but I think if you can get the truck, and get it clean and reliable for 6K you're doing pretty good.

I've seen tons of trucks go for sale lately, but im having a hard time finding a WHITE either F150 or 250 thats not a pile of sh** that is standard cab with 4x4. My old man preferred a straight 6, but I talked him into a diesel due to being emissions exempt. Or at least buy one titled as a diesel, and shove whatever I want into it...

Well it bumps strong into drive and reverse. Locked in 2nd since I have the FIPL disconnected from the pump swap.

Oddly enough, engine runs smooth as butter, but sure chiefs out a heavy smoke from the crankcase.

I don't have the crankcase breather hooked up, I just dropped an air filter housing on it for now. Does the engine at idle put a slight vacuum on it to burn any fumes? There is ZERO exhaust smoke, but theres a steady buildup of white smoke that creeps out of the valve covers, since they are just set lightly on the engine. When revved up, the smoke completely clears. Also, the cooling fan fell off so it isn't being blown away.

Now that I got er to run steady for 30ish minutes, I'll redo the compression test, but I have a feeling the head gasket is popped.

Hope y'all are enjoying your 3 day weekend.

Did a bit more work to the truck, pulled the turbo drain gromet out of the valley pan, and put my spare CDR in. Definitely smokes a lot less, but still has some. Fired up my crew cab to compare, its noticeably thicker in smoke from the crankcase on the project truck, so I'm gonna run it and she what happens.

I also ran a combustion tester in the rad, zero color change. So as far as I can tell, no popped head gaskets. Let it run for an hour so it was definitely up to temp.

Now I'm debating on if I want to pull the motor and clean the block and engine bay, or run it as is...

Wild with 320k on it she runs so smooth...

Hey what kinda parts are you needing that are white? I’ve got a white crew cab that is a parts rig now that I pulled the drive train and slapped it into my blue truck.

Got any pictures? My dad is interested in a passenger door, bed and gate. He's asking if the paint code is YO.

Paint code will be unknown as the driver door is missing the tag, the pictures I have are on my build thread. I harvested the truck for parts
