Hey IDIers;

just trying to find out if anyone has a good method for purging the rear tank after doing the pick up tube modification and made a rear hitch at the same time

1. Seem to be pumping air

2. Tried switch back and forth between tanks to try and get it to pull fuel with no luck , do I have to just leave it on the rear and crank/purge? I’m mechanical no electric fuel pump

3. The fuel supply and fuel return lines only fit on one of the attachments on the tank? Or could they be on backwards? I thought I put them on right with new clips

4. Is there a easy way to check if they are on correctly without dropping the tank?

They should be different sizes.
I would say keep cranking.
The orings in the quick connections can leak in air though.

@79jasper thanks

ended up swapping the o-ring and plastic clip and works now,

I took off the outlet on the fuel filter to the IP, put a barp fitting and hooked up a electric pump to pull fuel and then was able to hear the hissing coming from the connection at the rear tank , tested both tanks . Worked great
