Power Window Question

I totally understand that safety is highly important as i have 3 children my self but non of them are young ...

Just trying to understand here what 3 nuts in the regulator motor that will simply drive the window up and down has to do with compromise the safety VS new or cut up glue stick ...<--- this Q just outa curiousty as you might already know of something that i don't

The purpose of the plastic nubs is to have a breakway feature, in case someone sticks a finger or a neck through the window as it's trying to go up and the person operating the button doesn't realize it for whatever reason, or if the button's stuck or there's an electrical short.

If Ford did a direct-drive like they could have, the window motor would keep trying to push the window up, causing injury or worse in the situation I described above...the nubs can force the window motor to skip, or disintegrate altogether and release all pressure on the window.

I thought about doing the nut trick myself, but I like the idea of the safety feature, and the "kit" is cheap enough. Besides, even in California and the UV rays on steroids, I've put a new kit in a power window motor once, and it's lasted 15+ years
