I got my "new" 1985 IDI, it arrived from New Mexico about three weeks ago. The PO had his son "fix" it. Apparently the kid rebuilt the IP. The truck came with a note - I should include a photo of the note , but what the note said was...... " rear line is leaking fuel at injector , it needs to be re-threaded"

Truck ran OK but shook like a bucking horse , fuel leaking like hell all over the engine. I ordered new injectors from Conestoga and just finished the install today, new fuel filter and oil change and truck fired right up - now its amazingly smooth compared to what it was....

Old injectors, NO TWO ARE the same - whats missing from them? yes thats right only two had copper washers.

Injector top from the leaking fuel line Icanfixall was right - the injector line nuts are harder than the injector threads so even though I had spare injector hard lines there was no need to change the cross threaded line at the leaking injector.
