No lope... You can't feel anything like a gas motor lope. The cam does load down lower in the rpm band and it pulls better down low too. Russ will chime in soon and fill you in more on this cam... The aftermarket really doesn't make much of any thing for our motors and thats really too bad. These motors are build tuff. A member on the other site bought a 7.3 off the Alaskain Pipeline. It has been sitting for about a year... Motor was knocking... Got a good deal and drove a trailer to it and started it up to drive it on the trailer... Sure did knock loud too but it drove up on the trailer. Got it home and drove it off the trailer when the motor just stopped but it was off and safely parked... Later on he pulled the motor and found a cylinder lost a piston and the rod was knocking holes in the cylinder so the motor was done but... It ran enough to get what he wanted out of it. Name another motor that can run missing a piston and the rod kicking the crap out of the cylinder and continue to run.... Another member ran his truck too deep in the water causing the motor to inject water. Bent a rod and broke a piston but... Continued to run the motor for "a few years longer"... Then pulled the motor for rebuild when he found all this.... These are tuff motors....
I am sending a bunch of stuff to them soon, you can send yours to me with funds and I will get it done and back to you. They have a 2 day turnaround. Btw, if you do this get some boost under load numbers the way your truck is now so we can compare before and after. I bet you will build boost quicker after.
My cost is 175.00 exchange. They have gone up about 25 since I did my engine, It is from a cam grinder I have used for years for my vw stuff. They give me 15%off so I am passing it along, dont know what the core will be, maybe we need to find some old cams.
I guess what I need is a written paragraph that would tell somebody interested in modding their engine, what the cam does, where it comes from, how to get one, etc. We can edit it any time.
