passed away recently, it is terrible to hear, as he was a frequent member on here and a great guy from my interactions on here and Facebook. He will surely be missed.
I do not know the causes surrounding his death.
IF ANY OF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH MENTAL HEALTH OR SUICIDE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT WITHOUT HESITATION TO ME, AND IM SURE OTHER MEMBER'S FEEL THE SAME.
I cannot know what everyone, or anyone has experienced, nor do i try to claim I do, but i can only talk about my experiences and what helped.
I have been low/depressed before myself, and having people to talk to, and something to continue to work for/towards is what kept me going. I know it is not always that easy, and not everyone's brains work the same way as mine. However for me it was getting out of a job that was not great for my mental health, (and pocketbook) that made the largest difference. That opened up new friendships, opportunities, learning and eventually better mental state, and i have not been that low since then.
Again my situation may not be yours, but dont be afraid to make major changes especially of you are legitimately contemplating suicide, wether that is a job, relationship, living situation, etc. Because more often than not i have found people who have struggled with suicide find resonance with this Arabic saying
“If you want to die, throw yourself into the sea, and you’ll find yourself fighting to survive. You don’t actually want to die; you want to kill something inside you.”
In plain terms, im tired of losing great people. And if i can help prevent one needless death, then it is all worth it.
