i have, done many derby cars with it. big issue we found was pressure washer takes the paint back off. lol

If you do the prep, which it sounds like redneckaggie did, MACCOs paint work is excellent. When i worked for a body shop, we had the county contract(all paint work on ANY county vehicle). It was just not cost effective for us to do all the work. We would prep them and then take it over to MACCO. They came out quite well. I even took my own Chevy mason dump there. I did all the body work, primed, wetsanded and removed all the trim, glass and accesories. they did the ENTIRE truck(dump body and cab) in red, which is the most expensive color for $400.

What do you think of tremclad or rustoleum. I read part of that thread about the "50 dollar" paint job and looks like it would be pretty good deal. I mean if you screw up, your only out 50 bucks and some hours of work, which would probably be spent with a few buddies havin a few beers. Anyways, im looking for something that looks nice, but doesnt need to be show. I take my truck offroad for hunting and on gravel roads. Just would like something that looks nice. Would that do the trick you think guys?

If anyone wants a decent, tough, cheap, and sprayable paint try tractor/implement paint from tractor supply. It gets rock hard and nice and shiny when the hardener is used. Total cost is about $50 bucks. I sprayed my 85 4runner with it and it laid out nice and flat and takes a hell of a beating.

agree that tsc paint takes a beatin and looks pretty good but it just doesnt look as good as a true auto paint

mine is currently grey, black, and white with a dented up front bumper. I built a pipe bumper and finally got it all done and painted and some lady hit it and bent the plate about a week later, but oh well her insurance paid pretty good to get it fixed so I guess I cant complain. I am going to fix it myself prob when I paint it because I can get access to a press back home

By stock colors i mean what came STOCK on a tractor
Ford Blue,red, gray
John Deere green and yellow(not sure which green)
Allis Orange
IH red and white(not sure which red)

I've been contemplating a Maaco paint job on the 93. I'd like to try my hand at painting but not at the demise of the 93 
Anyway to save on $$ what prep should I do? I'll yank the trim (which needs replaced anyway) and I have a few surface rust spots I need to sand out and prime. How should I scuff down the exisisting crap stock paint job on the truck? Do I just grab my orbital sander, turn on the compressor and sand her down?
