Okay, Figure this one out!!

Okay, my clutch pedal has been riding the edge of needing the "Mod". I have the heim joint sitting on the desk, But today, the clutch pedal started acting real bad, I Had to put in gear and then start it. Well, on the way home, I put my foot under the clutch pedal,and lifted it up, and now the clutch works better than ever!!! ***????? Is my clutch master shot?
I'm about ready to park this thing until I'm ready to rip the motor and tranny out for the tremor, and cut the rest into a trailer!!!

Before you get the torch out get in the truck, put your seatbelt on and check closely between the seat and the wheel. I think you will find the problem.

lol ROTFLMAO thats a good one IDIeselman I never thought to look there lol any how I know when I replaced the clutch master cylinder on my brothers truck I did that to help bleed the air out of it so maybe you bleed it a little

My guess is that your clutch/brake pedal pivot bracket are shot, mine was worn out really bad. Instead of having a round hole for the rod to go through, I had like a figure 8. When the end of the rod closest to the clutch pedal dropped down into the lower hole of the figure 8, my clutch would hardly release (like yours was) by lifting up on the pedal, the rod would move back up into the top part of the hole and function better. My firewall was moving a BUNCH, so mine never did get completely right, not until I did the firewall repair and put a new bracket and bushings on the clutch/brake pedal mounts. All in all, I had about $300in the whole deal, would have been much more but I bought a used firewall repair plate. Still had to replace the scrap metal pedal bracket, clutch master cylinder, bushings etc. The previous owner or his "mechanic" did some custom welding on the linkage rod and the piece it attaches to, so I also had to replace them. Got most of the parts from fordparts.com and some from LMC, all were Ford parts.

I guess I wont comment on your thoughts of the Ford truck part, but my opinion was expressed elsewhere!
