Oil Filter makers

I'm changing my oil today and can no longer buy the motorcraft filters from wallworld. Napa does not list the wix or baldwin oil fitlers. Of course I want the power stroke size filter we all use so what is my choices and where are these wix and baldwin filters. Part numbers sure would be nice to have. I looked in the parts bin but did not see a listing but thought I had in the past... Must be bad eye or getting old

Vatozone has the fl1995. The motorcraft filter is made by purolater. Pep boys and kmart have those but with a smooth can. Imo brand isn't real important and even the hated fram will work.

Autozone Fl1995, K&n, and mobil 1 all there, watch the adds, I buy gasser oil 5 qt 10w30 specials ($19.99-$31.99) but get my Diesel filters as a upgrade! CHEAP disel filters that way. I use the 10w30 in my 4D55td Mitsu or 5.0L Explorer. Just gotta read the fine print on the add.

The Mobil 1 and K&N are the same filter inside and out!!!! there good but kinda restrictive, I loose 2-5psi oil pressure with them so stick with Motorcraft now.

I use Filterbarn.com ALOT!!!! too, oem IHC there sometimes.

I second that, leaning way more toward Balwin! when I can get them, love there 7.3 replace fuel filters without sender. BF1222 or somthin like that

ok, makes sense. I buy a lot of stuff on amazon, just checked and you can get a motorcraft fl-1995 for $9.95 with free second day shipping. Just ordered one to try it out.

We shop amazon quite a bit, and we also take advantage of their super saver shipping whenever possible. But, since the minimum for that is $25 and our orders aren't always that much, I always tack on an extra oil filter for one of the vehicles. Works out well since then I always have a filter handy for the next change. At this point, the wife has a few of the PNs memorized so she doesn't have to ask me!

Since we live out in the boon docs we order a lot from amazon so we pay an annual fee of like $40 so there is no minimum order, for us it pays for itself pretty quickly. I'm always amazed at the stuff you can find on amazon from gun parts to organic pesticide.
