How are you liking that t18, does it give you the finger every time you attempt to downshift into 1st gear while truck is moving faster than 1mph? LOL Also does it have an aluminum adapter on the end like a t19, or is it cast iron like a NP435? By the way even 435s had the torque mount when equipped with a 205 case... The 1356 is a strong case, with what you're running for gears and tires I kinda doubt you'll kill it.

kinda off-topic but a 203/205 doubler would rock behind a 4.10 geared ZF5 IDI.
Ya it's OFF topic but yes, that's why I said that...LOL I've got the 205's actually 3 of them, plus a line on a 203 for the range box, just waiting till I am allowed to go remove it. Woo Hoo..then an adapter! and a whole bunch of sticks in the cab..should allow me to have 4.10's and 38's quite nicely!

I digress, though, I would suggest the op rebuild a spare 1356 and install it rather than mess with drive shafts and shifter linkages and other issues like notching a case and and and...

KISS for the OP's truck LOL

1st gear??? Who needs that? Itll pull out in third without much trouble. Haha yes it resembles the t19 with the aluminum adaptor only one pto plate though. It maybe a bronco but it's what I hit all the pulls in and have yet to have transfer case troubles. The c6's bolted to the 205's have cast iron adapters too. My 86 has one on it with a 208

1356 pump fix.
You must be registered for see images

(Weld it in)

I've seen some people drill/tap the case and just run a bolt through.
