Let us know where you get your rebuild kit from. I have a 1983 f350 with a 6.9 that I need to rebuild it has 150 psi of compression on cylinder #6 so I want to rebuild her and keep everything original to the truck

Did you say this engine has 875,000 miles on it? If so, that's ALOT. Don't think I've heard of an idi going that long
Apparently...the remanned engine in my shop hit 875000 Km so 500k miles..w zero wear...recieved extensive maintanemce as it came from an armoured car companies truck.

Enough on the original miles. 6 of this half dozen of the other. She's old and tiered enough said

Crank evaluation

Connecting Rod Journals

Cylinders 2 & 1 = 2.4970

Cylinders 4 & 3 = 2.4975

Cylinders 6 & 5 = 2.4970

Cylinders 8 & 7 = 2.4970

All connecting rod journals are in nice shape. Still bright and shinny, no scoring or grooving or pitting.

Main Bearing Journals

#1 = 3.2235

#2 = 32235

#3 = 3.2235

#4 = 3.2235

#5 = 3.2234 to 3.2235

All main bearing journals are in good shape. #5 has some slight grooving but nothing a little buffing won't take car of.

next up is the cam
