Welcome to OB! Haven't heard from you since years ago on the MarlinCrawler board...glad you're still around.

Enjoy the old IDI...and this is definitely the BEST resource for info on it.

Yes much GOOD info here on this rig. :D You still into yota's or have you moved on to bigger and better things?

Thanks but tx is a bit of a jaunt when I can either cut the roof off of a free 81 or swap the cab off of a 93 onto here for free either way. :D Thanks though.
this one is in Santa Clara. Just checking before I canibalize the truck;Sweet
if I was in your shoes with your choices, i'd change over the '93 body onto the chassis. there's four layers of sheetmetal in the pillar and roof areas for rollover strength and it's a bear to properly splice in.

Yea I'm actually leaning towards the 93 swap with 81 front clip... I'm trying to keep this and my yota as 80's as possible. Hence the visors etc. :D

Right on, my truck has changed just a tad since it all began years ago on Marlins board... Well actually it's gone back to where it all started with a first gen. :sly

We did some work to the truck today and porta powered the cab back straightish enough to work for what we need it for... Well at least for now, gotta have it usable for memorial and I have a LOT of stuff to do on everything.
