neutral safety switch problems?

truck sometimes wont start . I mean no sound no click on the solenoid at all. if i move the shifter to low then back to park usually it will start. I think i have a safety switch problem.
Where is this thing located so i can look into it asap

Your NSS should be mounted on the steering column and under the dash. If you look along the column, you should see a plastic connector with a couple of wires coming from it.

Sounds like it may be the MLPS to me, it's mounted on the side of the trans....should be a little black box mounted right to the side of the transmission case.

Oops... Forgot about that! I was thinking about the clutch safety switch and it is not even on the column!
