n-14 pwr up

I have a 99 volvo with an n-14 more pwr is just a computer set up away. You should be able to go up to 600hp and 1850lbs of torque but some shops might not do it if the driveline is not rated for it .

All i can tell you for sure is that I bought a used computer for mine and the speedo didn't read right and the fast idle was to slow for my wetline so i went to cummins and the guy wouldn't let me leave the shop it was set for 600hp and 1850tq and my drive line wassn't rated for that much so he derated it to 550hp and 1650 tq I pull a 5 axle trailer in Ontario and we gross 62,500 kg or 137,500lbs and i didn't notice much differance K

Go check out www.dieselinjection.net, out of PA. Bruce Mallinson has easily extracted 800 durable horsepower and 2200 lb.ft. of torque out of an N-14. Works on old 855-series Cummins engines, and all the way down to the B-series (Dodge) Cummins engines.

Just have to trick the computer. Many guys up here run Pittsburgh Power.

pittsburgh power has the best add on performance computer for truck engines. They offer units for Cat, Cummins and Detroit. You can get 700 hp out of your 525 N-14 Celect Plus with the unit. Only $2,395 for the power to be at you fingertips :) 200 hp gains can be made on the 3406E Cats - take a 600 and make it a 800  The Cummins will only gain 175.

Pittsburgh Power and Diesel Injection are basically next door to each other. Diesel Injection not does ECM mods, they also change pistons, injectors, and turbos. Just my additional 2 cents. Mr. Mallinson has been able to wrench 1000+ hp. out of an N-14, as well as 2200+ lb.ft. of torque.
