Ok, I managed to get my $500 6.9 home today. Not totally sure of the year as it has no tag on the door frame as it was removed previously. My friend Jason and I previously ran up the engine and drove around a storage lot to verify it's running and a worthwhile investment.
All I had to do was pay $25 for the fuel for the ramp truck as it is owned by Jason's father in-law.
I even get a tidy tank and pump as well as a PU box full of garbage and WASPS
I took a few pics and here they are as you can see by the engine tag it's the 175 HP model 6.9 too. Take a good look at the redneck/aboriginal canadian fuel line to #1 injector...
Jason knows I have the 7.3 turbo and may want to purchase this 6.9 from me. I mostly wanted the transmission and flywheel and a few other parts so I may sell him the motor if the 7.3 is ok. We will know more once I get the 7.3 home and on the engine stand to open the pan check bearings as well as do a leak down test too.
Anyone who wants the grille...it's a freebie pay shipping and it's yours.
And so the project takes another step forward.
Most of all Huge thanks to Jason for all his help with my project.
