aftermarket intake? i didnt know you could get one for the idi

yep hypermax makes a cowl induction for our trucks i think there the only company that makes any kind of intake for us
but acually i was refering to making my own dont like the idea of cutting a hole to run cowl induction:dunno

Dang, that interior is pretty clean......

I got a 91!

Heres a tip for your headlights. go to lmc truck and get yourself a heavy duty headlight harness. Literally 10 minutes to put in and boy does it make your headlights brighter!!!. Ford put such small gauge wire in that it really drags down the voltage.

I had that harness on my Flareside, the downfall I found is that the relays those kits use are not readily available(at least for me they're not)

Ya'll are makin me feel old and I was born in 87!:rolleyes:

I wouldnt worry about it unlill they fail. I have had the harness in my 86 for 3 years and have not had one issue

so is it worth spending my money on or does it do just enoguh to where ill regret buying it? how hard is it to install it?
just asking cuz i have had some really bad experices with lmc truck

Yes. LMCs stuff is generally under par. But there is no way you can build that harness for that money.

It takes less than 5 min to install

It works quite well, it made quite a difference with my sealed beam headlamps, then made even more of a difference when i put in the H4 headlights
