finally getting the motor and trans done in my van , but of course there are problems (there are always problems) , what I thought should be a direct swap _an earlier 7.3 for a newer "94" 7.3 is turning into a money pit project. the motor was a used motor same as the trans , the van it was pulled from was scrapped immediatly after the motor and trans was pulled so I was unable to get some vital parts for my swap such as the shift controller for the E40D trans that connects to the motor fuel pump and tells the trans what to do "gone" , someone took the trans dipstick which was there before the motor was pulled "gone" - the trans reverse gear is opposite of the C6 trans so my mechanic had to fab a bracket to make it work and of course he had to fabricate other things too. the motor was in and running and then they found theat there was NO oil press, had to pull the motor again , found that the oil pump was not pumping oil , so we used the 1 from the motor that was pulled and that 1 seems to work , motor will go back in on monday but I don't have a shift controller or dipstick "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!" If anyone can come across a 1994 E-350 with the 7.3 and E40D trans for donor parts let me know , I won't make it down to the IDI rally in Nj without them, thanks
