Hi folks.
Welp, just finished putting a new sending unit in the rear tank, so I can now get every good-to-the-last-drop bit of diesel in the tank, AND my fuel gauge works again. WOO-HOO! That's high livin'!
Anyhoo, Maxine ran out of fuel (again) the other night, which prompted me to get this done.
That said, I noticed that the fuel level in the Goldenrod water separator I installed was low. When I installed the filter, I filled the bowl with diesel before I screwed the bowl on the header. I expected the bowl to fill back up again once I had fuel flowing again, but it's not. I will attempt to post a pic here:
You can see (maybe) that the fuel level is low. The truck is running, although I haven't driven it yet. It idles fine, and I've run up the RPMs, and it hasn't stumbled or stuttered. Is that level OK, or do I need to remove the bowl and refill it? Or is there something else wrong?
Thanks, guys!
