As Hank said get your oldest open ended wrench. Heat the middle. I did three small bends to make the curve.

I might try to bump my timing just a smidge...it's been doing that too. Runs great on cold mornings straight off the glow plugs (before I kick on the cold advance), and rungs great on hot days/mornings, but when it's just "warm" or the truck's been sitting for 10 minutes it runs rough when I fire it back up.

Where are the timing marks? on the pump or what?
