Live C6 removal, need answer!

12 quarts is the maximum, for a 4x4 pan, and extra cooler, 11 is normal, also the governor sounds like it is hanging when you stop and not letting it go back to 1st gear. That requires tailshaft removal and governor cleaning..

He took the entire thing apart in like 5 min right infront of me, and he showed me everything was working, and he tests everything with air before re-installing..... but that was the first time, now he wasn't payed this time.....


I'll thinker with the vacuum modulator abit, if that doesn't do nothing, i'm gonna drive it straight to him, and hes gonna drive it him self, and feel his ****** rebuilt job!

So today I unscrewed 2 full turns in the vacuum modulator....still isn't perfect like before, but MUCH better.


I drained a quart and a half from it, and now it's right at the top of the cross-hatched, so that's perfect as well.


Now, cold, it operates as it should. Once it warms up nice and good.


It starts taking off in 2nd again, and the shift from 1-2 is very very soft/sluggish, like it slowly slides in gear. 2-3 is perfect, just like it was before.



If you manually shift it, it's fine.....



So this week, I'll drive it right to the builder, and have him try it, see what he thinks of it, and fix it. I ain't touching it again!


I tryed that old high speed reverse trick to flush out the governor in the tailshaft...didn't make any difference.

Well it corrected it self, running perfect now.


Still got some things to do inside the camper, then at the end of the month, were leaving for a 1 month trip, and stopping in for a few days at the Rally on the way!
