Excellent indeed. I've often wondered why our 93' crew cab dually (a heavier truck) stops easier than the 83' F-250, and this would explain it. I may have to try and replace those items in the future on the 83, when I've nothing better to do.

Mel,

There is no advantage to replacing the '86 MC with the one from a '93. and the down side is the fitting adapters cost $25.00. One of them had to come from the Ford dealer. I was losing fluid and couldn't find the cause so I went with the newer one. Knowing what I know now I could have just replaced the MC with another '86 and slotted the bolt holes. They are both 1 1/8" bore.

Perhaps there is an advantage in having a plastic tank? No rust maybe? Longer/easier availability as time goes on?
