im cannot find a spacer plate for my truck that goes between the block adapter plate and the tranny bellhousing. does anyone have one not being used? i need it bad. nothing around here anywhere. not having the right thickness spacer caused me to kill my pump and TC! both brand new! id be willing to give some money for it!

Would that plate be on a '86 6.9 with a C6 transmission? If so, I might have one since I have an engine and transmission here.

i got one hanging off a blown 7.3 also

the adapter is fine its the thin plate between that and the bellhousing. has to be 7.3 and e4OD. different bellhousings i believe. least nonne of the ones i've found have worked. mel jred pm me if you have one that you'd be willing to let go!

sorry, i thought you were talking about the adapter bolted to the engine block.

doublesdiesel would be another guy to check if you dont have if williams and mel dont have one

I have that thin plate, but it is for a C6 not sure if that is the same for an E4OD or not?

So long as they fit the engine, they will aslo fit the tranny.

E4OD is its own animal, I checked around here and no find.

They are the same bolt patern. The E4OD is nothing more than a C6 with an overdrive gear and less reliability. Time to start measuring thickness and compare that way.

Some questions first.... Do you have a heavy cast iron flywheel... If so I have the stamped metal flexplate plus I have the small plate that acts like a large washer covering the stamped flexplate. Its new and the parts are still in a plastic bag from Ford. Ford no longer makes these plates nor do they make the spacer that fits between the crank and the newer flexplates. Some here will remember the issues I had with finding that thick 1.109 spacer. It kinda looks like a hocky puc with holes drilled in it. The part number on the box is E5TZ-6384-B. I just crawled under my 94 with 7.3 and E4OD just to make sure, there is no thin plate between the block adapter and transmission

Also you said they are brand new, I guessing as in just installed. It sounds like the torque converter was not installed all the way into the front pump drive. I have seen that happen, doesn't take long to really mess things up.
