I have 3:54's and a c-6 in a 4x4 shorty van loaded with tools and get 16 avg. Now that was with the tranny shifting funny. We'll see if it gets better after everthing works right.
with my 4 door 4 wheel drive zf5 i seem to get 15-16 sometimes it seems to drop and come back up without good reason because i drive the same roads and same way everyday. i think some fresh parts or some more fingers to count my miliage with would help
not sure what rear i have but i am turning about 1800 at 55
If I can manage to keep under 65 on the highway I get 19~20. Thats on flat land, Around town if you want to call it that (country driving) 16~17. Before I discovered my return fuel system leaking I got 13
I was averaging 13-14 in Big Red until my pump and injectors went bad. I dropped to 9-10mpg then. Hopefully, with new injectors, a new IP, and 3:55's in the back, my mileage will go up. I don't think I'll 50mpg like Cowboyz reported, but I should do a little better.
Sorry if I offended anyone with this post, I didn't want to prejudice the results of teh survey in anyway, which does sound a little childish and ******* I guess. Usually i get high 13s-low 14s in town and 14.5 or better on the highway. Problem is I haven't really driven on the highway without the boat or some other big load behind me or in the bed since I switched from 4.10s to 3.55s. I appreciate all the responses folks.
ON the US gallon, my truck runs around 17 kicking around town, and around 21 highway, with a terminal velocity of 65 mph. I find that there isn't much difference between 50 mph(the speed limit around here) and 65 for fuel mileage, just 500 rpm, and a much higher noise level.
MAN! I would love 20, Even 17 would be nice. But I complain about the power with 4:10. Do not think I sould be happy with the gears to get better MPG.
I now get 14 on a good day
