hey guys my beast is almost done and were having a dyno day june 2 im gonna run 50/50 wvo and sraight diesel 6 pulls and will have copies of what she has made for me its an ext cab 89 5sp with 088 ats turbo 5sp smf upgrade and 3.5 flats on my 2yr old ip with delphi inj. that i put in along with pump has a custom 3in intake with fatty filter also the motor is original never rebuilt has 265000 or 365000 running real strong. ???So anyone wanna make a guess for fun??? !!!Will have the truth soon!!! my guess is from 170 to 190hp and 300 370 ft pounds but who knows i just want it to be in that range lol!!! Im gonna be real excited to see the difference in the wvo vs diesel should be interesting.

197 hp is my swag.... Have you timed the engine since all this pump and injector work...

ya i had it at 8tdc or however you say that with a ferret meter i believe and it seems to get a lil bit retarted Ron said it should not sound like a powerstroke and it does so im assuming its a lil off now its a mm or 2 towards passenger side which is advanced but i dont have a meter to recheck it my friend next door that had a meter moved so cant check it now it got a lil blue smoky in the last 15k i put on it not bad just a lil Ron said it retarded as ive put almost 70k on it since ive done the work i turned the pump up 3.5 flats recently like 2to4 weeks ago and it does not have much blue smoke now just black at half throttle im thinking its still blue just cant see it but does run really nice smooth to sorry idk alot but what i do know i feel like i do im only 20 and im doing all the work myself as i may not be expierenced but feel i will still do a better job than some mechanic and its my rig so the more i learn the better my rig works and i love to tinker big time and learn fast but ask to many questions alot of people say but thats how i learn thanks for the replys icanfixall any more help would be apprishiated thanks devon and wow 197hp that would tickle me i thought i wouldnt get that close to 200hp until i pull the motor and rebuild it

N/A's can hit 170, I'd say you can count on around 200.
Most peoples time their rigs around 9.5. This fuel they, laughingly, call diesel seems to like it about there.
Do you have a pyro? if not GET ONE! That will tell you how much fuel you can push. fuel=power. Heat=DEATH!
You're going to see better numbers from a WVO mix than from strait #2.

my truck jumped 10 hp when i flipped the switch from diesel to straight WMO, this was on the 3rd dyno pull.

hmm well that should be interesting to see then. How come higher burning point? Well maybe i should re time the engine then? Ya have isspro pyro, water temp, oil pressure, boost, diff temp, and oil temp

Ya wanna be carefull turning the fuel up that much. I would say your at maximum with 3.5 flats. More flats can spread the C ring and cause a sheared input shaft. See pic. Black smoke is a waste of fuel. One to two flats is enough going from an NA to a turbo. You want complete combustion without black smoke, timing has to be set advanced to about 9 to 9.5 with a turbo. All the above is dependent on how good your compression is, 400 + PSI.

Just my thoughts.

commpression is 350 to 375 and runs good all check out the fuel and try to re time it soon
