It's been a year now...

Hello!

I just realized that it's been almost exactly a year since the first IDI exodus from TDS over to OilBurners. Looking at the member list by join date, it looks like people started actively coming over on January 5th, 2005, with the big jump happening between January 10th and January 21st (I swallowed the red pill a year ago today, Jan. 12th, and haven't looked back once).

It's amazing what peple can do in a year, eh?

Congratulations to everyone who has been active on this board for making this into such a successful year. Let me add to that a special thanks to Mel, Mike (95_stroker), and Tony (Max Power) for creating an environment where we can develop this community and create what is probably the single most comprehensive IDI tech resource on the Internet.

They probably don't care for us anyway... I expect the IDI sections there will go away. After all, we are the ones who carry that site. The new truck forums are full of fighting. Aside from you guys' attacks on me, this site is pretty friendly.

I dunno what the exact date was that I joined but I think I know I was one of the first IDI'ers to come over here. I never paid much attention to the join date line but it seems that it has been almost 2 years since I joined! There were no posts at all in the IDI section when I first came and now there are new posts and replies every day. When i first came over here I spent most of my time in the lounge and "battlegrounds" (now the refinery), but now since a lot of IDI'ers have made the switch I spend most of my time up in the tech section. It is pretty amazing the difference a year can make.

I know when you joined it was shortly before we started the down fall of the
TDS.From the stuff we started over there we ruined the others forum. Then lead to many of the members leaving the site and coming over here.
