My 1986 NPR lift pump is faltering. It's no longer supported by the factory or just about everyone else but this old timer has a lot of work left to do.

Any suggestions?

if your local dealer can't help you, Call Tom's Truck Center 800-238-9308. they handle all the *** trucks ever sold in the US. not cheap, but at least you can get the parts.

Thanks towcat,

I contacted Toms and they can't help with an OEM style or an electric alternative so I'm still looking for a pump that'll lift the fuel from the tank up to the injection pump. I have a cheapski NAPA unit on it at this time which supports idle and low speed - light load runs but not up my driveway or the big hill between here and town.

there's quite a few of the IH idi guys running the Facet pump. it's a puller pump not a pusher pump. you have 5/16 line, I can't see much of a problem drawing from the tank up to the motor.

You went and confused me with the puller vs pusher pump stuff.

Checked out the pump. It sure looks like the one that's on it that just barely gets by. Is this the one you're using on your Fords?

Hi,

I went to Amazon and took a look at the 40285 but then noticed a Dura-Marine with better specs and $27 cheaper not to forget the 5 star rating and slightly higher specs. I am tempted by both. Would you take a look and see if it would meet my needs?
